Holy Week and Easter in 2020

With Church buildings closed its easy to forget that the Church is still active when we cannot meet in St Cuthbert’s. As has been said by Revd. Jen, on several occasions, the Church is more than the building we meet for Weekday or Sunday Services.

We are the Church, and all can continue to support our Church Wardens and Deacon Janet from our homes during the Vacancy. Through prayer; supporting food banks (also see below); financially, by putting aside the money you generously donate or setting up a Standing Order; providing material for the weekly Bulletin, please email that to Carol. Worship in the home may take the form of a shared meal or agape. See the end of this bulletin from York, Holy Communion during the time of Anti-Virus Restrictions (PDF).

The Church of England has a page dedicated to ways we can all participate to celebrating Easter Week; through reflection, Social Media, joining a live-streamed event, or by an act of Spiritual Communion.
