St Cuthbert’s Church Ormesby Bellringers is hosting two bell tower open days on July 12th and 13th this year.
The church tower, which has loose stonework and a spire, is in dire need of repair and restoration. The estimated cost of repairs is more than £100,000. This open day will be one of many fundraising events to help us achieve this goal and preserve our tower for future generations of bellringers and church members. We are also looking to encourage new bellringers.

Bellringing is rooted in British History, and this form dates back to the Reformation, when King Henry the 8th was Sovereign. It is an excellent hobby for all ages, a mental challenge, and a great way to switch off from daily life.
Please feel free to pop into the church on these dates. The tours will last 30 minutes each and will give you an in-depth behind-the-scenes view of bellringing.
Please spread the word.
